Pilates Teacher
Hannah grew up dancing and later went on to pursue dance as a career, training full time at Wellington Performing Arts Centre. It wasn’t until full-time training that she was formally introduced to Pilates and felt the benefits to her strength, flexibility and mobility.
Like Hannah, many dancers and high-performance athletes come to understand that their high level of training can have an impact on their bodies, resulting in injuries. For Hannah, Pilates helped aid her recovery and prevent any future setbacks.
She had been teaching movement through dance for over 10 years, before deciding to do her Pilates teacher qualification through Polestar Pilates to deepen her knowledge and understanding of the body and how it works.
She loves the use of imagery and the wide range of cueing that is used to facilitate movement in pilates.
Hannah has always enjoyed a physical challenge and has found her training has helped her to pursue other hobbies such as circus and pole.
